Expectations | Rewards | Consequences

As a part of classroom management, I have certain expectations of my students.

Rules include: students should be ready to learn, and come to class prepared. Of course, I expect my students to be respectful of their peers and to act nice to others. If there is an instance, however, where they do act out or misbehave, I have a continuum of consequences which I follow. Below is a list of positive reinforcers which I use regularly. Also, is a list of consequences I use in reaction to misbehavior:

Rewards
Consequence
Self pride and respect from others "The Look" to let students know to get back on task
Prasie (verbal example: "good job staying on task") Proximity (move close to the student's desk)
Note home on good behavior Tap on desk or signal to get them back on task
Reward Ticket Verbal warning

Lunch with me!

Time out (go to time out chair and fill out time out sheet)
Phone call home on good behavior Phone call to parent (with student there) and/or note home to parent
  Student, teacher and parent conference
Sent to office to see principal

I thank you in advance for helping create a positive learning environment in class.
