Together, this year we will give your children the best educational opportunity possible!!
My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that all children learn best by doing. Our classroom will be a busy, active, and open-ended place that invites natural problem solving. The children will be encouraged to become independent learners. I believe that all children can learn, and I also understand that each child is unique. Therefore, I will teach to their needs. My instruction will be presented in many different ways so that all children can learn. At the beginning of the year, I need time to establish routine and consistency in their day. During this time, I will be able to start observing their skills, abilities and behaviors to best plan for their needs.
I also believe that it is important to continue the learning process at home. The best thing that parents can do for their children is to model correct behavior and learning techniques. My classroom will be a safe place conducive to all students’ learning. Your child will feel comfortable in our room and you will be very welcome to visit. Your child will learn responsibility for themselves and for other students and staff. They will work hard and be rewarded for their efforts.
My overall goal is to continue to build the children’s self-esteem and to develop a positive attitude toward themselves and school. I feel that it is my responsibility to make every child feel that they are capable of doing the impossible, and that they are important as individuals. As a teacher, I will be giving, flexible, knowledgeable, caring, and very open-minded to cooperation with parents. Here’s to a great year!!!!
